Yet in the latest issue of Spiderman, the writers apparently resorted to retconning (just learned a new word, I like it) for the sole reason of getting rid of his wife Mary Jane - their marriage is erased from everybody's memories, which of course screws up continuity like whoa. But see, now he's free and single again and can live with his aunt and be a pitiful geek! Format c drive. The fans are not too happy. And a superhero really should know that it's never a good idea to make a deal with the devil. What a clusterfuck of incompetence and misogyny.
